What is your stance on gun control?

In all of history guns have killed zero people. Only people kill pdolle, guns are just tools used to do it.

We need to honor the 2nd Amendment. Your questions assume background checks are not already being done. Honorable law abiding citizens don't need more restrictions placed on their rights. Do you have to get authorization to exercise your 1st Amendment? Evil and crime will always exist. The answer to horrific mass shootings is to #1 protect the most vulnerable areas (schools, hospitals, etc) and to report those who are making threats or have extreme views so they can be monitored. Everyone wants to talk about the mysterious gun-show loophole that doesn't exist, but no one wants to figure out how to add someone's mental illness to a background check - since everyone who commits acts of mass violence is mentally ill.

I can aim and hit the target I am aiming at. That is enough gun control for me. From a Vietnam Vet.

Guns are not the problem.... its the people with psyco issues and parents that don't teach kids to respect the weapons that are the problem.... and background checks don't show a persons psyc evaluation..... you take the guns away from the people... the only people that then have weapons are the bad people..... look at TX.... they allowed conceiled weapons... and the crime rate dropped 60%.... people don't know who will pull a gun back on them when a bad person pulls out a gun....

Gun control protects governments not the people. Criminals can get weapons. Gun control isn't stopping crime, it's for turning citizens into serfs. The fact that most people don't realize that is unfortunately the truth.

Disarming the population gives the government the ability to devolve into tyranny. An armed population also deters foreign groups from attacking a country for they not only have to fight the government’s army, but the armed citizens. The number of Texans who have hunting licenses constitutes the third largest army in the world.

When people mention gun control . They really mean making more laws to achieve it. It is often because of a tragic shooting that has lead to death. I fully understand the emotional response but the focus should be on the person not the weapon. First of all another law will not solve the problem. I prefer to call criminals by the old name tgat was used long ago. OUTLAWS. It discribes their thinking. Murder of any kind is against the law. People that use a gun to murder don't care about the Law or any law for that matter. They are acting outside the law. So why would they not ignore another law. All a new law does is make more law abiding citizens . Law breakers. Lawyers love this. The more laws you have the more law breakers there are the more lawyers you need. Secondly. It is hate in peoples hearts that leads to shooting someone. We have to address the hate. Getting closer to God can help that. Lastly. If some one is stabbed to death do we blame the knife? You could literally take a loaded gun and place it on a table for a hundred years . If no one touches it it kills no one. It is not the gun that is evil it is the person with hate in their heart. Finally. If accidental discharge by a child is a problem. Have gun training taught to our kids. They are not toys . Our weapons are protection . Not only against bad individuals but from bad government. The first laws a tyrant like Hitler, Castro, ect. Enact are no personal gun ownership. Only police and military. Our ownership helps keep us free.

My position on gun control:
Assume all firearms are loaded until you verify otherwise.
Don't point the muzzle at anything you don't intend to destroy.
Keep your finger outside of the trigger guard until you are ready to fire.
Make sure of your target and any bystanders behind your target.

We need more criminal control

It's not about gun control...its people control. Bad people can care less about gun control. Its not going to stop any bad person.
