And was your GYN impressed when you showed up with the green?
I READ the entire post, and that is NOT the only thing I saw!!!
The green hair got a very big laugh!
@superbjversion2 They need one of them from time to time!!! I read a story about a lady who used the wash cloth that had sparkles from her daughter before her appointment!! Doctor asked "Are we feeling "festive" today!!!
Wish I could see it
It's not easy taking a picture of both hands but I tried.
If you are a big bang theory fan think about super asymmetry.
I liked Big Bang but am not fan enough to know every episode. (but I'll search for it now)
@superbjversion2 It was in the last season or maybe last two seasons.
I've never really looked at my hands long enough to notice finger length differences. I always get stuck on the idea that my hands have looked older than they should for my age. I think my age has finally caught up to their look! Now if we're talking about which boob hangs lower, that is very noticeable these days since I've dropped weight and they've flattened out more than they used to. That bugs me everyday when I'm dressing.
On the idea of symmestry, the accountant in me does like the centered look of things for an ad or a business card. However, that never bothered me with my earrings. I have 3 piercings on my right lobe and 1 on the left. Somehow, I always thought that having it be a bit asymetrical made it more interesting. Cool post.
I may be permanently aware of my stubby right index finger, but I can say that my boobs sag equally!
@superbjversion2 So jealous. Lol
@superbjversion2 "I'm a certified boob sag symmetry appraiser. Would you like to enjoy my appraisal?" I can see some pros and cons to such a pick up line. (Future Research: exploration of the relationship between boob sag symmetry and personality.)
@SoGood2Know Your study may have to wait until the Finger Length and Psychotic Bloggers study is complete.
@SoGood2Know I had a hunch that there would be at least one of you here. Although, I thought it would be @CleavageFan4U that would comment first!
@MyNameIsKay Guess I'm getting old and slow. 😪
@CleavageFan4U Aren't we all.
@superbjversion2
When scientific investigation calls, one must answer.
Are you ever gonna get the left pierced again?!?
@dafocker44 I don't think so. I do want my right ear middle piercing to be redone. It wasn't done very well and sits too close to the same level as the original piercing. I didn't even really know this was a thing until my daughter had some of her piercings redone for not sitting where they should be on her ear. But mine was done so long ago, it won't close. Hers all closed because she took out the stud before they had healed.
I hope that you live well past 2039, with a sound mind and body.
I'm not 100% certain my mind is sound NOW! 😆
HNW this week is hands! Good time to be looking. ðŸ˜
Symmetry is good, but perfection is kind of boring actually.
Best wishes on making your lifespan symmetrical.
I'm not a perfectionist. If I make it to 36.37 that'll be good enough!
There's a lot of years left until 2039.
That makes me glad. Neither of my parents lived past 76 and I'm not ready to go that quick!
Well you got me sucked into the wiki article... and now I feel like I should study phrenology next! I fit about half the characteristics of people with long fingers whose ring and index fingers are the same length.
I wonder if there have been similar studies on toe length. 🤔
BJ opens new search window
You have a way of taking something as simple as comparing your hands and turning it into a thoughtful little snapshot of how you see the world. The symmetry idea fits you—it’s practical, a bit quirky, and it makes the whole post feel very you.
Odd or not, it made for a good read.
Thank you. It always amazes me how well my "odd" posts resonate with people.
There were a lot of google results! Including the claim that if your ring finger is longer than your index finger, you could be psychotic. That would be me.
Psychotic, eh? I missed that one. We're in good company together, then.
@pagancountrygirl There's Science's next study ... finger length and psychotic bloggers
I crave symmetry. I'm not full blown OCD. I just want balance. 4 kids, 2 of each sex. Born on even days in even years. My doc could not believe it. That's me though.
I love your life plan. Though going over the mark is great too!
Hugs!!
I love your birth symmetry! Things in balance could be why you enjoy quilting.
If my life plan fails, I'm hoping it's because I went over the mark.
I can see what you mean! There is something pleasing about a balance, even if it's intangible. But I know it's there.
It's a good life goal and I am here to cheer you on!
As a photographer, you understand visual balance
I can't provide a link but look up Finger Length and Personality and read the wikihow article.
For the curious ... my fingers are short and my ring fingers are longer than my index fingers. I did not compare thumbs and pinkies.
