Yet again I feel compelled to write about the new site again - see PREPARE FOR PASSION, PASSION AND PURGATORY and THE NEW SITE IS A DOG'S DINNER for my previous efforts.
The site's owner on a Club 7 group post invited feedback on his planned new site - it is a new site rather than the existing site written with new code. Not only did he promised a month's free gold membership to those submitting feedback, he also promised that the site would respond to all feedback.
Now before I go on, I want to assure you that I want the new site to work for its members while realising that anything new is likely to meet resistance from those familiar with the old site. Hopefully I approached the new site open-minded, not expecting it to be easy but at least reassured that it's being tested before its launch.
I was concerned that members have been invited to give feedback on the planned new site quite late in the day, not at the design phase (eg what sort of site do members want?) but at the so-called technical phase (eg what do you think about the site's owner has done?). The latter approach drives out a lot of feedback and almost becomes a fait accompli. Also the site's owner will only listen to feedback if it's lodged on the new site. Because members can't see what other members are saying, this is a divide-and-rule tactic. But, hopeful as I try to be, at least members are invited to give feedback.
What's interesting is that the site's owner promised feedback on member feedback. Though he told members how to give feedback, he didn't tell members how to find the site feedback on their feedback. Perhaps an oversight, you see how charitable I am. If you've given feedback, the way to find site feedback on your feedback, is to go into the new site again, click your username in the top right hand corner and then click 'My Feedback' to get the site's feedback on your feedback.
Now what feedback means to me is a response or a set of responses to what is being suggested. Such responses are likely to be negative though may be positive. I expect any abusive feedback to be ignored. I've left three bits of feedback, mainly questions. So I was hoping for answers to my questions as site feedback.
I've only received site feedback from my first bit of feedback, I understand that the site needs time to respond to member feedback.
Here's how it went. This was my first bit of feedback: "I realise it's new so I'm not used to it. No doubt I will get the hang of it. I have a eight queries or bits of feedback. First, I take it that there's no split between the Dating and Community sides. Second, having looked at my Community blog page, I can't see my alerts nor a list of my blog posts. Are these features here? Third, I can't see a feed for my followed bloggers or a feed for new blog posts. Fourth, I can't see a list of the groups I'm a member of. Fifth, will gold members still be allowed to make a blog post (eg mailbox) private? Sixth, when clicking on a member's thumbnail, will their location and number of blog posts be shown? I hope so. Seventh, I recommend you get rid of kudos as they meant very little and even perhaps nothing. Eighth, and finally, can you assure that members that everything posted on the 'old' AFF site (eg my blog posts (including images), comments/replies on my blog posts) will be migrated to the new 'Passion' site. This is what concerns me the most as I remember that not everything was migrated successfully when the Community side was launched. Related to this, it seems clear that a lot of time has been spent on developing this code, so much so that the site's development team aren't fixing basic glitches on the old version. For weeks, I repeatedly get kicked off the site when I try and access my alerts. I use alerts to navigate myself around the Community side. Now I have to rely on pen-and-paper and everything is taking much longer. From where I'm standing, it seems a balance is needed to keep the 'old' site functional and developing the 'new' site. I'm not sure that the correct balance has been struck."
This was the site's owner's feedback to my feedback: "Thank you for giving it a fair go. Send your questions right here, one by one is fine, and we will work through them. The Dating and Community split you asked about is something we are making clearer."
As you can see, I did send the questions for him to answer, but only the first question was addressed even if not answered. But most worrying was this response to my feedback within the technical gobbledygook: "This report is closed." This isn't feedback; it's fait accompli closure.
Now I realise my experience may be exceptional and others may have received more meaningful feedback on their feedback.
Have you left feedback on the new proposed site?
If so, have you received any feedback? And if so, was it informative or at least meaningful?
I have two other bits of feedback awaiting site feedback. My hopes aren't high that I'll get any meaningful feedback from the site's owner. But I hope I'm proved wrong. And if I get any informative site feedback, I'll keep you posted. It's the hope that kills sometimes.

You did a fair go. Quite frankly I feel that they being the owners, they'll do whatever they want regardless of the feedback. If I like it I'll stay; if I feel like it blows monumentally, then, what else? I'll go away, like when they "fixed" one the other cousin "alternate" site.
I've now left 30 bits of feedback, all constructive and nearly all questions. Only one reply so far received. That says it all!
@spunkycumfun Unfortunately, yes. Nonetheless, as a fellow member who appreciates the value of this community , I appreciate your effort
@ManniOfTheIsle By far the best thing about the site is its members. Unfortunately the site doesn't see that!
@spunkycumfun Nope. Only the money
I think that's a good idea.....
Thanks.
I appreciate your updates.
I have not left feedback, because I think the promise of gold based on "USEFUL" feedback is another empty statement.
For a laugh, I recommend the AI video on the new site--it's found after you press "FROM ANDREW. The Brock figure says, "INTERNET FOR GOOD." What? They are providing internet and a low grade porn site. LOL Then the best part--they are going to give 'all profits back to them." We can trust the owner, he always keeps his word. That is comedy gold!
I've now left about 30 bits of feedback. I've received no site feedback on my feedback on the site. All my feedback was constructive with most involving questions.
The dating part is rather straightforward, but highly simplified. It's the Community part that's confusing and needs a lot of work.
I like how simplified the dating home page is. No dick pics, the live streams can be hidden. I don't like the left panel, tho.
I must admit I didn't venture onto the Dating side as I rarely use it beyond sending or replying to a few mails.
@spunkycumfun
I don't use the dating side all that much, either, but I roamed around the rewrite just to see what's where
Your two questions: No, and No.
At least you saved your breath!
I think what he’s looking for is singular feedback that specifically relates to a particular feature or page. For example one of things I commented on was that when viewing the list of my blogs, I value having the option to display oldest first. That’s now been fixed.
I suspect your long eight part question was overwhelming to him and that is why it was closed. Note that his response said “one by one is fine”, I think that was a polite way of trying to push you toward submitting issues that way.
I think you are being charitable towards the site's owner, which is no bad thing. I realise my antipathy towards him is great which may get in the way of me interpreting things.
However, that said, the site's owner could have said that he wanted singular feedback either in his initial Club 7 post or his feedback to me. He did neither.
The main reason I presented my feedback as a generic list is because I had great problems navigating myself around the new site to find the features I wanted to give feedback on.
I will now try to give singular feedback. And here was me hoping not to go back into that clusterfuck of the site.
I've now just re-submitted my feedback as singular bits of feedback. It's nearly 30 bits of feedback in total!
@spunkycumfun Good luck with that! Were you able to find a relevant page or feature to click on, that related to your feedback? It's difficult when your feedback is that alerts no longer exist, what do you click on?
@smartasswoman In most cases I couldn't find a relevant page. But as nearly all my bits of feedback were on blogging, I often chose my blog page to leave my feedback on. I can do more.
The more I go on the new site, the more I realise that it's a totally different site. I suspect it's a bit like a supermarket which routinely moves stuff between aisles to make shoppers look at different stuff. But with a supermarket the stuff is there, I'm not sure it is with the new site.
The site is clearly moving towards clips, etc - a nod to OnlyFans and YouTube? The blog page is called 'Blogs and Channels'!
Thanks for sharing my friend and the only thing I can say is ARE YOU REALLY SURPRISED?
I hope your Friday continues to be a fabulous start to an even more fun weekend..
I'm not at all surprised. I'm used to the stunts pulled by the site's owner.
I made three feedback posts. They all were answered.
Was the site's feedback on your feedback informative and/or meaningful?
@spunkycumfun I got one 'fixed,' one 'noted,' and one 'good suggestion.' I believe all three were meaningful. Will the last two be implemented is another question.
@StrictlyNSA63 That's good to hear.
I'm not one of the beta testers.
I'm not a beta tester but I still gave feedback.
@rdy2try4 Thanks. I'm not a member of Club7 either. I did get a message from the site telling me that, as a long-time cammer, I'll like joining Passion and they put in a link. Since I'm not a cammer, I assumed it was not a legit message ... especially since I know that the dot coms for A.FF and Passion take you to the same site.
@rdy2try4 I found a link on one of Spunky's posts and checked things out. Thanks though.
