A TOTALLY Self-Indulgent Post on Father’s Day
A recent change to the geographic dispersion, and the work schedule, of family members has thrown yet another consideration into planning group observances of the various holidays. Only half jokingly, I’ve suggested picking one weekend in the summer, calling it “THE Holiday” and just celebrating all the holidays, birthdays, etc. in one single shot. So far that idea has not gained a lot of traction though. 😀
But to the main point here today, we all were together about a month ago and knocked out Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and a birthday. So I’m free to spend this weekend however I choose. The forecast is more than a bit unsettled, and I generally avoid going to the crowed pool on the weekend anyway, so I’ve decided to go with writing about something that has been my mind for a week or so.
Back then one of the “picture posters” cut loose with a blast of vintage photographs. (I don’t mean “picture posters” in a derogatory way, just that there was little to no editorial content to the posts.) You could tell these were vintage shots because most of the ladies had genital hair. 🤣 Another tip to them being vintage was that most of the images were in black and white. Though not all of them. I especially enjoyed the shot of the lady that had apparently JUST ditched her bullet bra, and still retained the shape. But more than anything what I noticed was how voluptuous all the women were. Surely you’ve noticed that too! 😍
So my questions for the day are:
Do you think that back in the 40s, and 50s women were generally more voluptuous than what we commonly see today?
Or do you think that maybe it is simply that those were the women that were willing to pose for naughty pictures back then?
Perhaps it is as simple as the pictures of the curvy women from those times are the ones that have endured to be enjoyed by us still today. Do you think that might be the explanation?
Regardless of what you think about the images of these lovely ladies, I hope you are having a good weekend, And to those of you that fall into the category, I hope you spent the weekend the way that you want, and are having a HAPPY FATHER’S DAY.

I think women were more curvy back in the day because that was what society expected. Now being a twig is desirable.
The bullet lady almost looks like she has covers on her areolas. Its hard to separate nipple and areola. Just looks like a cone.

Women's body style preferences swing back and forth. Those '40s and '50s gals were followed by the '60s and '70s Twig-like era and preceded by the '20s and '30s Flapper age. Somehow, though, large breasts don't stay gone.
