I’m in Love with Martha Gelhorn
Or at least the depiction of her by Nicole Kidman in the HBO film Gelhorn and Hemingway. Martha Gelhorn was Ernest Hemingway's third wife, though they started their affair when he was still married to Pauline. Gellhorn met Ernest Hemingway during a 1936 Christmas family trip to Key West. She had been hired to report for Collier's Weekly on the Spanish Civil War, and the pair decided to travel to Spain together.
Nicole was TOTALLY CAPTIVATING in this film, though it is a wonder she did not die of lung cancer when filming it. But then again, I honestly cannot recall a film Nicole was in that I did not admire her performance even if I did not care for the movie itself. (And YES that includes Eyes Wide Shut!) I just adore her, and NOT just because she has a great ass that she is not shy about showing. Gotta have another one of those! I recall watching her play Silvia Broome, a UN interpreter who becomes entangled in an international assassination plot, in the movie The Interpreter made in 2005. I did not even recognize her at first, but I surely was captivated by her performance. Only after watching for a while did it dawn on me it was Nicole.

Not particularly a fan, but thanks for reminding me that I need to watch the DVD of Babygirl that I got from the library! (checked it out not because of Nicole but because of the bdsm element).
