Another Reason to Get Up Early
While writing my post Recalling a Favorite Prank I was reminded of another time when it was fun to get up early and head down to the hotel lobby.
The facility I was visiting in Brazil was HUGE and drew workers from the small towns for many miles around. Many of the workers stayed in town during the week then headed off back into the countryside on Friday after work. Thursday was payday. Combine those two facts and you can understand why Thursday night was PARTY NIGHT. 😁
Some of the local girls were eager to hook-up with us “rich” Americans in hopes that we’d be their ticket out of there. So Friday mornings we’d get up early to watch those ladies make the “walk-of-shame” through the hotel lobby wearing the very same dresses they’d sported at the clubs the night before. Doing this meant we lost a wee bit of sleep, but it was fun and worth it!

I usually get up earlier when I go on vacay since I usually catch and early flight or train.
Those are good reasons. I do that too, well not the train, but the flight or to start the drive.
I get up early to travel or show one of my animals, canine or equine
I never did the walk of shame, LOL.

I remember when I was visiting S America, our tour group was having a very early start ( maybe heading to the airport, I forget). We drove by some dressed up people, hanging out, smoking etc and our guide told us they’d been clubbing all night and were just heading home at 6 am.
Sounds about right. The natives didn't even start eating dinner till 10PM or so.

In order to have a walk-of-shame one must first feel shame.
The closest I've come to that "walk" is getting home from my date at 6 am and my kid wanting to know where I'd been all night. Who would've thought a teenager would be awake that early!

I;ll get up early for a fried breakfast.
I've never had a 'walk of shame' moment.

Ironically I believe this image is of the two girls from White Lotus I mentioned in my previous post. I couldn't find the image when searching for illustrations for that post, but stumbled on to it this time.
