NVS12-Jan 2026: Resolutions
Long time readers will probably recall this, but some of you newer ones may not.
I only make ONE New Year resolution each year, and that is to not make any New Years resolutions. 😀 It’s not that I don’t think I’d be able to keep any I’d made – for I surely could! No, the reason I don’t make them is, I’m already so perfect I’m almost unbearable to some people. Can you imagine the challenge if I was even MORE perfect?
Does this make sense to you?
Do you think my resolution next year should be to be more humble?
Do you think the last NVS theme for 2026 should be to report on how we did on the resolutions we made this month?

Maybe I should resolve to do things that I already know will get done. In 2026 I resolve to travel more. (amazingly I already have four trips in the works, that's much more than usual for me).

A lot of people seem to be skipping resolutions altogether. Given how many posts this month are about not making resolutions, an end‑of‑year report might be pretty short.
I can write mine now. "I was perfectly successful in my resolution to not make resolutions."
Perhaps your resolution should be ... not to be more humble, but simply less perfect!
How we did on our resolutions sounds like a good mid-month challenge idea!
