I don't care what color the next 007 skin may be. I do tend to lean toward a male 007. I like the eye candy. Maybe we can have a female 069 or some other cutesy number meaning chick. Villain .... I could name many eligible candidates.
Do you remember Barbara Feldon playing Agent 99 on "Get Smart"?
Connery was the best .pierce was my steering second favorite. Daniel was ok enough. I'd have hard time with anything but a sexy white guy as bond.
Oooohhhh, I don't see how Bond being a white male is NOT going to change.
@CleavageFan4U I know... just saying I'm not a fan. I like the character the way Fleming imagined him and in my mind Connery embodied that.
@CL_Love Sooo many women dig Connery!
I liked Craig as Bond.
As I mentioned to BJ jsut below, this news was quite timely as I'm in the process of rewatching all the movies on disc. I really starting to like Craig more and more, but the real news is Judi Dench as M. Quite a set of performances!
I think retiring Bond would be just fine.
I liked Connery. Despised Moore. Was relieved with Dalton. Loved Brosnan. Tolerated then grew to like Craig. Lazenby doesn't really count.

I wonder whether the next Bond will be non-British. My money is on an American white male.
Elon Musk would be the perfect villain.
Musk is a villain for sure, but unfortunately, he's not a movie one.
Interesting, Ian Fleming only wrote 12 Bond novels and 2 short story collections and they have managed to make 27 films based on that not including the 1967 Casino Royale parody. That last one is the only Bond film that I saw in its entirety, never been a big fan of spy movies in general and Bond films in particular except for the women. I'm more of a John le Carré fan when I want to go that genre. So I'm not really concerned about what happens to the series but I think villains based on Jeff Bezo and Elon Musk would suit the times that we are going through. I may even make a point of watching those films.
Many of the later films were only loosely based on concepts from the Fleming novels, and with extensive rewrites to update them.
As interesting as le Carre was it's hardly "light" entertainment and requires real concentration to follow.
Amazon taking over the franchise scares me. I grew up with Roger Moore playing Bond but I never cared for his portrayal but the movies were among the best in the franchise. My favorite Bond is still Timothy Dalton despite his only having two films. Musk is basically Gustav Graves, Bezos is Blofeld, Putin is General Orlov, Zuckerberg is Boris Greshenko, Melania is Elektra King, and Trump is obviously Goldfinger.
As you probably saw above, I was not really of fan of Dalton.
Early Bond:
Newer stuff, and perhaps the future?:
