New Year / New Rules

Purely gratuitous shots illustrating versions of the twisted points in this post are in the first comment.

The start of the new year is typically a time when new laws or regulations take effect. (July 1st is also a common date.) I’m talking about things like the easing of laws on marijuana possession or use, new tax rates, personal rights, etc. But those things, while perhaps quite desirable and good, are not fodder for a fun blog post!

Long time bloggers are certainly aware of the deterioration in the level of the posts here. So as one of those long term bloggers, and an occasional contributor to the deterioration 😂, allow me to suggest some new...we won’t call them rules exactly...more like â€guidelines†for material that would make for a fun blog post.

As currently proposed, the language of the “Bloggers’ Credo Act of 2025†reads:

• Whereas, the level of blog posts has significantly deteriorated of late, be it hereby resolved that any blogger wishing to remain in good standing in the blogging community will do their ABSOLUTE BEST to try to engage in each of the five following situations and write about it before the end of the year.
  
• Hook up with someone less than 8 hours from when you first meet them in person.
  
• Rent a hotel/motel/B+B/etc. room alone, but don't let that room go to waste. Hook-up with someone while not having to worry about cleaning up the mess.
  
• Have sex someone you’ve known for a long time but, for whatever reason, never got around to fucking.
  
• Try some kind of kink that is new to you.
  
• Have some form of group sex.
  
• Substitutions of especially creative twists outside of these five situations are permitted.
  
• Including an actual photo of the event in your post counts as double so you only need to write about 3 more events.
  
• Including an actual video of the event in your post counts as triple, so you only need to write about 2 more events.
  
• Effective date of resolution - OH SURE, why not - February 14 / Valentines Day. (Though early submissions are encouraged.)
