My mom made the cake all from scratch, and she was a very good baker and cook. But I don't like German Chocolate Cake. I do love corn on the cob but it doesn't like me. I hope you've been well!!

How did corn cobs ever become a thing? lol I can't imagine what was used in the middle ages ... wet rags? clean poopies? My curious mind wants to know. Guess I'll have to see if AI can give me an answer as I can't imagine life without toilet paper.

You need to shell the corn off the cob first. We had a building called our cob house where we stored the cobs in the spring after shelling to corn from our cribs. Used the cobs to start coal fired in the furnace. By then we had indoors plumbing.

For a genuine Black Forest Cake there is not much that I will not do.
Black Forest Cake is a wonderful cake. One would have a very hard time finding one around here. I used to make them years ago. lol
And do you know why you need white cobs? To see if you need another brown one.
